| As an IT professional who has used every Microsoft OS since DOS 1.0, as well as non-MS Operating Systems, I can say XP Pro is the best OS MS has ever produced. It is stable, easy-to-harden, efficient and convenient. If you're having problems with it, chances are either you have an old version (without Service Packs) or aren't proficient enough to be doing your own OS installations. I will be dumping support and use of Microsoft products once MS stops supporting XP in 2014 and Vista becomes mandatory, as I will never use that piece of garbage called Vista. I commend Tigerdirect for continuing to sell XP Pro and XP-enabled PCs and laptops. |

| I honestly do not know why this thing always crashes, it seems like home edition doesnt crash as much. This is a very sensitive OS. and if you install a program startup just becomes slow even if the service is not running.
HAS no drivers, out of date
Just to let you know... GET VISTA IT DOES NOT SUCK!
Before upgrading you can only get business or ultimate. |

hello as are computer users, working in the department of technical support in colombia, in my extensive experience with microsoft and its system opertativo windows xp, I may tell you that is the operating system for PC more stable and just light it is necessary to install a Good antivirus software, updated drivers and have already works very well, that the msn point is too bad because it is unsafe and is easy to hack, recommended for designers, editors and lovers of 3D and also for common users ... |

| This is the best os I have ever used. And yes I have used windows products back when 286 computers ran dos applications only. It is smooth running, and when used with windows onecare, it is flawless. I would recommend it highly. Put together a PC using VIsta, and it is a piece of !@#$. Locks up constantly. |
